Spirits Having Fun makes high energy, adventurous rock music that challenges rock tropes and blurs lines. This playful band, based in Chicago, revels in sweet melodies, driving drums, and unaffected, interlocking guitars. Spirits’ raw sound and dynamic group energy are built on a foundation of elaborate song forms, a deep rhythmic pocket, and an improvisatory spirit. Their songs, colored by feel good rock riffs and abstract dream imagery, come to life in their tight and exciting live performances. Their debut album Auto-Portrait is out on Ramp Local June 2019.
